Telog Instruments has improved its popular hydrant pressure recorder. The HPR-31 has a five-year battery life, stores 400% more data values and is lower priced than previous models.

The environmentally rugged HPR installs on a standard 2 ½" hydrant nozzle of a common fire hydrant. Two methods of data collection have been incorporated into the design of the HPR. Field workers can download readings directly to a laptop via the water tight RS-232 connector and a serial interface cable. The second method utilizes Telog’s PalmPilot based data transfer unit (DTU). Using the water tight RS-232 port, the DTU transfers and stores the data until it can be downloaded to a PC. This unique data collection design has completely eliminated any need to dismantle the installation and interrupt data recording.

Telogers for Windows Software

Keeping ease of use, flexibility and customer needs as it’s number one priority, Telog has developed a comprehensive user-friendly software package, Telogers®. Compatible with Telog’s entire product line, Telogers compiles the hydrant data readings. The customer can then easily tailor Telogers, a Windows-based package, to fit their individual needs.
